We are very excited for our beach party!

What a great sport’s day we had! The sun put his hat on and shone down on us!
The children thoroughly enjoyed racing! We think we have some champion runners so, Usain Bolt had better watch out!!
Welcome back to our last term and what an action packed term we have!
The countdown is on for sport’s day, the sun is still shining and the weather forecast is looking good!! This year could be the one where is doesn’t rain!!
The children will need to come to nursery wearing their sports clothes and trainers. Please apply sun lotion before they come to nursery. The children will have a drink provided after their big sport’s event!
We have practised our races and Usain Bolt has a bit of competition!! We could have some Olympian champions on the horizon!

We have had another busy term learning all about pets. Keep your eyes peeled for the photos of the children learning all about their favourite pet.
Welcome back to our Summer term!
This term we are learning all about ‘pets’. We had a little chat and we all thought it would be exciting to have our own pet in nursery.
What pet could we have? A giraffe? Noooo! A giraffe is far too big, it’s long neck would poke out of the ceiling! A tiger? Noooo! A tiger is far too scary! What about some fish? That’s what we decided on, little, colourful, beautiful fish. So off we went on a bus to Pets at Home to have a look at all the fish.
We checked the times of the buses. Luckily enough, there was a bus due…
… and we had time to sing songs whilst we waited! We sang ‘The Wheels on the Bus’ and ‘Hey Mr bus, where are you?!’
We got to Pets at Home and we were so excited to go inside!
Wow! There were so many fish!
Orange fish…
…white fish
… little fish. All kinds of different fish!
We chose some toys for the fish to play with.
We had a sneaky peek at all the other fluffy animals!
The hamsters, woke up, and came to the window to say hello to us…
…and the rabbit said hello to us!
The gerbil popped his head out from under his bridge!
We saw the rabbits having their snack and realised that we hadn’t had our snack! Our tummies really started to rumble!
We jumped on the bus and asked the bus driver to take us back to nursery so we could have our snack!
What an exciting time we all had seeing all the pets!!
We have lots of exciting times coming our way in nursery so keep
looking out for the the news letter that will be coming home with your child soon and jot the dates in your diaries!
The sun has put his hat on and has come out to play!
We have been making the most of the sunshine before the rain clouds come back!!
We have had so much fun playing outside in our park area!
We jumped off the tyres!
We walked along the plank and jumped off . It was a long way down!
We picked beautiful little daisies to give to our friends.
We climbed all the way up to the top of the tree-house!
Look at high we can bounce!
We went super fast down the slide and held on really tight!
We took our dollies for a stroll around the park in the sunshine.
We played catch and made the railings look pretty with beauitful colours!
We even had outdoor cooking! Anybody fancy a hot-dog?!
Happy New Year! Welcome back to Nursery and 2018!
We have had a very busy first week back! We have had lots of new friends who have started Nursery and we have been busy and helpful little bees showing them all around!
Happy Half Term!!
It’s been a very busy term full of lots of exciting learning so It’s time for everyone to have a rest, re-charge the batteries ready for another busy term full of exciting things to learn!
We will see you all on Monday 26th February ready for another action packed term!
Our topic this term is Nursery Rhymes!
Grand Old Duke of York
We have had such an exciting week in Nursery;
Our nursery rhyme this week is Pat a Cake, Pat a Cake Baker’s Man.
The BBC have their version of ‘Bake Off’ so we thought, move over Mary Berry because Nursery have come to challenge you!
We had our own little Mary Berry who gave our trainee bakers a lesson on how to make cakes!
Mary Berry showed us how to read a recipe and how to weigh the ingredients...
… how to mix all the ingredients with a big wooden spoon.
… and how to crack the eggs the eggs.
We enjoyed cracking the eggs so much that we kept on cracking…
…and cracking!
Maybe we shouldn’t have put all those eggs in because the mixture got stuck to our hands! It’s a good job Paul Hollywood isn’t here!!
Here’s Mary to show us how to pour the mixture into the cup cases! She said we are so good at baking that Paul Hollywood’s Channel 4 Bake Off had better watch out!!
We baked our cakes in the oven and used icing pens to write our initials on the top.
Just in case Paul Hollywood decides to pop in, we have some chocolaty ones we made earlier!! Hopefully he won’t notice!!!!
Miss Polly had a Dolly
When we came to nursery this week, we had a bit of a shock! All our dollies were poorly so we thought we had better take them to the doctor!
We decided to give them a bubble bath first to freshen them up …
… and get them dressed in clean clothes.
We phoned the doctor to tell him about our poorly dollies and he said to give the dollies an x-ray to make sure they didn’t have any broken bones!
We checked the x-ray and luckily they didn’t have any broken bones so we phoned the doctor back and said “bring them to me quick, quick, quick!”
We put them in their prams and took them straight to the doctor!
We checked in …
…and spoke to the receptionist, she said we had to sit and wait!
We waited …
…and waited quite a long time!
At long last we got to see the doctor!
The doctor told us we need to listen to their chests …
… check they didn’t have a temperature …
… and to measure their height to make sure they were growing!
After we all gave our dollies a full check-up, the doctor said they were all healthy and just needed a big cuddle and maybe some vitamins!
We popped into the chemist and chose some fruity vitamins
to keep the germs away!
We couldn’t wait to go back to nursery to tell all our friends everything the doctor said!
We will be singing and learning all about different nursery rhymes.
Take a look at our topic planner below to see what we will be learning about this term.
We started the week with Baa Baa Black Sheep. We learnt lots of interesting facts! We learnt that our woolly hats and scarves come from sheep! Did you know that lipstick is made from the wool that comes from sheep?!
Keep singing all our nursery rhymes and have fun finding out all exciting facts!
Thank you so much for all our lovely gifts! We really do appreciate them all! We will enjoy sitting back, relaxing and indulging in a few chocolates! We would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year! We will see you all in 2018!
What an exciting week we have had in Nursery! Father Christmas came to visit us; We asked him if he would bring us our favourite dolls and bikes! He said he would have a look in his workshop and he thinks the elves have them ready to go on his sleigh! We have to remember to leave a mince pie for Santa, a glass of milk and a carrot for Rudolph and his friends!
We had a magician called Simon Sparkles! He was so clever and did lots of magic tricks! Some of us helped him to do magic! We had so much fun and laughed out loud!
It’s almost Christmas and we have been busy little elves working in Santa’s workshop!
We have decorated the Christmas tree, it looks so sparkly!
We have been busy making toys for all the boys and girls! Santa is very busy so he needed a little help !
Some of us were a bit tired from making all the toys so we had a little nap! What a surprise we had when Santa came down the chimney and left presents! It really is magical!
We have been busy counting forwards and backwards. To help us learn and remember, we made 5 fruit rockets and sang ‘5 Little Men in a Flying Saucer!’
We would like to say a huge THANK YOU for your generous donations for Children in Need!! We collected so much money that we had to have 2 children to help us carry it!!
Here are a few photos of the children dressed in their pyjamas and some of the biscuits they decorated!
We are supporting Children in Need on Friday 17th November!
The children can come to nursery dressed in spots just like Pudsy Bear or you can have an extra 5 minutes in bed and come dressed in your pyjamas!
We would be very grateful if you could dig deep into your purses and pockets and give a donation small or big!
Monday 13th November is the start of ‘Anti Bullying Week’.
Those odd socks that we all find in the washing will finally come in handy!
Wear those socks on Monday as odd and bright and colouful as you like!!
Welcome back to a new term! We are all very excited to start our new topic, ‘Space!’ The children have
been very busy (and the grown ups) making stars and rockets for our role play!
We are very impressed!!
We started the week off with a BANG! The children told us all about the exciting and colourful fireworks they had on Bonfire night!
They have been busy making lots of rocket, stars and pictures.
Here are just a few photos of the childrens’ creativity!
Welcome back to an exciting new year in Nursery!
We have been very busy making new friends and exploring the Nursery!
Our topic this term is …
DINOSAURS – RAAAAH!!!
The children have chosen what they want to learn about dinosaurs so here are a few photos of the exciting activities!
We made dinosaurs out of different shapes. It’s a good job we come to nursery every day so we can learn our shapes!
We made dinosaurs out of construction!
Since we have come to Nursery, we have even learnt how to bake dinosaur biscuits!
We measured the ingredients …
… mixed them all together
… cut out dinosaur shapes
… popped them in the oven
… and ate them for snack. DEEEELICIOUS!!!
There is so much to do and learn!
We experimented and made a volcano!
We didn’t know what would happen so we added bubbles, powder and colours and watched to see what would happen!!
WOW! The bubbles fizzed, lavered and erupted into all different colours!
We are thoroughly enjoying watching the children have fun with their learning!
We are very excited to see what else they will choose to find out about!
