Additional Learning Provision in Rumney Primary School
At Rumney Primary School we are committed to supporting all pupils to the very best of our ability, including children with Additional Learning Needs. If you have any concerns or worries please speak to your child’s class teacher.
Mrs Kilpatrick works to support children across the school and is our Additional Learning Needs Co-ordinator. Mrs Kilpatrick is available on 02920 79145 and her email address is [email protected] .
Most children’s needs can be met through universal provision
This may include
- completing work set at their level by their class teacher (differentiation)
- using resources to support learning
- receiving additional support through an intervention to boost learning
From January 2022 children who meet the criteria and have Additional Learning Needs will have an Individual Development Plan (IDP).
There is lots of information about additional learning needs on our website and the key changes that will be taking place. There will be no changes for children who currently have a Statement of Special Educational Needs.
