Dear Parents/Carers,
We all continue to face many new challenges and adapt to the changes we have to make in our everyday lives. For those families who are self-isolating we hope you are staying safe and well. We hope to see everyone soon.
School has received further information and guidance from Cardiff Local authority and we have been asked to share this with all our families.
We would like to remind you of the importance of following the correct processes:
Should a pupil or family member be required to self-isolate due to showing symptoms of COVID-19 or if anyone in the household is awaiting a test result then please refer to the FAQ’s provided by the Local Authority, which provides clear guidelines to ensure we keep our pupils, staff and the wider school community safe.
English – Guidance Covid – 19 FAQ
If there is any positive case in your child’s year group from the 10th December any contact identified will have to self-isolate over Christmas.
We have been asked by Welsh Government to share this information with you
The Welsh Government is funding a survey to understand the effects of COVID-19 on children’s mental health and well-being, as well as their physical activity levels. If you agree, your child will be asked to complete an online questionnaire (should take 10-15 minutes) and some children will be selected to wear an activity monitor (like a FitBit) for a week. Both will be repeated at a second time point a few months later.
Please click on this link (English version) to read more about the survey. If you are happy for your child(ren) to participate, please complete the parental consent form which you will find in the same link.
Thank you for your continued support.
