Headteacher Letter 15.01.21

Friday 15th January 2021

Dear Parents/Carers,

We are now at the end of Week 2 of Home Learning and some children and families will have had an opportunity to do a ‘live meet’ with their class teacher. I was able to join in with some children in Y2 today. How lovely to share the meet with their teacher and class friends!

Last week school updated you with some changes we had made to our Home Learning organisation and planning overviews. The expectation is that all children are engaging with the Home Learning provided by school. There are extension tasks, ideas and challenges that will support further learning opportunities. Please remember that the class teachers may ask the children to revisit the work to improve certain parts. This is important feedback to make sure progress is made.

We do recognise that for some of our families there are reasons why some and not all the learning tasks are being completed. Many families are trying to manage Home Learning and home working! These are challenging times. You will know when the Home Learning can take place and what is achievable. Try and enjoy learning together at the right time for you as a family.

Please be reassured that we are here to help and support. Class teachers and school staff have been making calls to families to see if there is any further help needed to overcome  barriers to Home Learning. We will be in touch with some families next week too.

If you are having any difficulties with logging in or navigating your way through the Home Learning Plan please get in touch with the class teacher or call school and we will endeavour to return your call or reply to your email as soon as we can.

We will be in touch again as soon as we have any further updates.

 Stay safe and well!

Best wishes,

Miss Williams
